Brownlow Hill halls, Smithdown Road houses: the Liverpool student year
First year is halls. The University of Liverpool's own halls, Vine Court, Crown Place, Philharmonic Court, Dover Court, Tudor Close and Melville Grove, are on or by the campus, and Greenbank Student Village is out in Mossley Hill. LJMU students live in partner halls run by private firms, such as Marybone Student Village, St Andrew's Gardens and Byrom Point. Halls send their own arrival instructions, so forward that email with the booking.
Second year moves into a shared house, and in Liverpool that means the streets round Smithdown Road, Wavertree and Kensington. Smithdown Road runs along the edge of Toxteth and Wavertree towards Sefton Park, and where the van stops in the side streets is agreed when you book. A room going home at the end of June can travel anywhere in the country, and Yorkshire is straight back along the M62.

One room, two postcodes: the price of a Liverpool student move
A student price in Liverpool rests on three things: how much is in the room, the floors and lifts at the hall and the house, and how many miles separate them. A quick list of what is going is enough to set it. See how we quote for the full breakdown.
Student Removals in Liverpool: your questions
Where do most university students live in Liverpool?
First years mostly live in halls on or near the campuses, from Brownlow Hill to Greenbank in Mossley Hill. After that, many rent shared houses round Smithdown Road, Wavertree and Kensington.
When should I book a van for moving into Liverpool halls?
Once the hall has given you an arrival slot. Mid September and late June are when three universities move at once, so a date in those weeks needs booking early.
Can my room come from a family home in Yorkshire to Liverpool?
Yes, and it suits the van well: it starts in Bradford, so it can pick up anywhere in Yorkshire on the way out and take the M62 straight across to the hall.
Is a single room cheaper than a flat move?
Yes. A room of boxes, bedding and a desk chair is a small load, and the price is set on what is actually going.
