Warmfield: what to know before moving day
The name is said to come from Old English, meaning stallion open country. The village sits on Warmfield Lane where it meets Boundary Lane, with The Plough pub on Warmfield Lane and Croft Head Lane and Goosehill Lane nearby. Warmfield Common, an area of open heath, is close by, and the hamlet of Goosehill lies to the north. Cross Hills Farmhouse, an early 19th-century house in orange-red brick, and Newhall Lodge are among the listed buildings close to the village.
