Marshfields: what to know before moving day
The streets that carry the name, Marshfield Street, Marshfield Place, Marsh Street and Marsh Grove, sit among groups of streets that share a name: the Hastings group (Street, Avenue, Terrace and Place), the Hawes group (Road, Avenue, Crescent, Grove and Mount) and the Ransdale group. Because so many neighbouring streets share a first word, give the full street name and postcode when you book.
A few much older buildings are tucked in. The cottages at 4 to 10 Murray Street date from about 1800, and 3 and 5 Carr Bottom Fold began as a mid 18th-century farmhouse in gritstone with blocks of ironstone. Both are Grade II listed. Marshfield Primary, Newby Primary and the Emsley Memorial Recreation Ground are useful markers, and Briggella Mills is mapped as an industrial site close by.
How the van gets to Marshfields
The A641 Manchester Road runs along one side of Marshfields, with the Manchester Road bus guideway beside it. The A6177 ring road passes to the south as Mayo Avenue, Smiddles Lane and Southfield Road, so a van coming off the M606 at Staygate follows Mayo Avenue to Manchester Road and turns in. From the city centre, Manchester Road leads south to it.
The drive from Bradford is roughly 10 to 20 minutes. That is an estimate from route data, not a timed run, and traffic changes it.

Not for the van. Trident is a civil parish covering Little Horton and West Bowling, and it sits inside the City of Bradford, so the council for parking, bins and council tax is still Bradford Council.
