The drive over the Pennines comes first: timing an urgent Salford run

Because the van starts in Bradford, any Salford pick-up has 40 miles of M62 and M60 ahead of it before the item is in the back. Ring as early in the day as you can: whether the diary allows a same-day run is settled on the call. A full postcode helps, since Agecroft is reached off the A666 and a studio on Pier 9 by Broadway.

After collection there are no other stops. Liverpool and Warrington are west along the M602 and M62, Leeds is east by the A666, M60 and M62, and central Manchester is about two miles down the Crescent and Chapel Street. The load space is 3.4m long, so lighting stands, flight cases and long cartons that will not go in a car travel flat and strapped.
