Fitting an urgent Oldham run into the day
The first question is whether the van is free, so ring rather than message, with the size of the item and both postcodes. From Bradford the van crosses the Pennines on the M62 to junction 20 and comes down the A627(M), which puts Chadderton, Royton and the town centre within easy reach, and the M60 at Hollinwood links the south side of Oldham to the rest of Greater Manchester.
Town-centre drops need a thought for the trams. Metrolink runs on the street through Union Street, so a parcel for a business there is carried from a side street. Out at Broadway Business Park in Chadderton or the units by the M60, the van can pull up at goods-in. A run to Manchester is about 8 miles by the A62, and one to Huddersfield goes back over the M62.
Booking an urgent Oldham run
- Ring with both addresses, the item's size and weight, and the time it must arrive
- Give a named contact at each end and a phone number that will be answered
- For a town-centre address on the tram route, say which side street is nearest

Same Day Courier in Oldham: your questions
Can you collect in Oldham today?
Only when the diary allows. Ring with the addresses and the item, and you will hear straight away whether the van is free and what the fixed price is.
Can you deliver to an office in Hollinwood?
Yes. Give the unit or building name and a contact, and the van pulls up at goods-in or the nearest legal spot near the M60.
Do you send small parcels?
The van suits items too large or awkward for a parcel service, such as a stack of boxes, a machine part or a single piece of furniture, as long as it can be lifted by hand.
Can you take an item from Oldham to Manchester at short notice?
Yes, when the diary allows. It is about 8 miles by the A62, so the run is short once the van has crossed the M62 from Bradford.
