Elmfield: what to know before moving day
Elmfield Road is a short residential street that leaves Bridge Street (the B6127), with the Bridge Street Allotments right beside it. Birch Street, Cross Birch Street and Marshall Crescent branch off the same road, and Quarry Lane leads round to Elmfield Court. Part of Bridge Street is mapped as one-way, so the van may have to loop round to pull up on the correct side.
On the other side of the area, Askey Avenue, Askey Crescent, Harrop Avenue, Harrop Grove and Shire Road all open straight off Britannia Road, a 30 mph section of the A650. Hembrigg Park is a short walk away. Two of the older buildings nearby are Grade II listed: a late 18th-century house and cottage on Rods Mill Lane with its former coach house, and 37 High Street, a stone house dated 1766. The Howley Park industrial estate is also close, which is worth knowing if you are collecting from a trade counter.
How the van gets to Elmfield
From Bradford the A650 does most of the work. It crosses the Drighlington bypass to the Gildersome roundabout, where it meets the M62, the M621 and the A62, then carries on east past its junctions with the A643 and the A6029 (Rein Road). Britannia Road is that A650 stretch, and Bridge Street leaves it for Elmfield Road. Tingley roundabout, on the M62, is further east along the same road.
The drive from Bradford is roughly 20 to 35 minutes. That is an estimate from route data, not a timed run, and traffic changes it.

Give the side street as well as the house number, because Askey, Harrop and Shire Road all join the A650 and the van needs the right turning rather than a stop on the main road.
