Office parks and trade counters: Warrington business runs
Warrington's business parks sit beside its motorway junctions. Birchwood Park is off M62 junction 11, on the old ROF Risley land, Omega North and Omega South spread along junction 8, and Winwick Quay sits by junction 9. The Grange, beside the M6 at Woolston, is mostly warehousing. Where a site has a reception or a goods-in door, it helps to give them the van's registration and the delivery time in advance.
Nearer the centre, Centre Park by Bank Quay, the Warrington Central Trading Estate off Dallam Lane and Portland Trade Park on Buckley Street take smaller deliveries, such as shop fittings, trade supplies or an office move. Penketh Business Park, off Liverpool Road, has around 30 warehouse units. Everything is loaded and unloaded by hand, so boxes, desks and kit that one person can carry or trolley go in, up to the 3.4m load length.
Reception, goods-in and contacts for a Warrington delivery
- If the unit at Birchwood Park or Omega has a reception or goods-in, tell them the van registration and the delivery time
- Name a contact who will be at goods-in or reception to sign for the delivery
- Say if the item goes to an upper floor and whether there is a lift
- Everything is handled by hand, so goods must be in boxes or pieces one person can carry or trolley
