From a Garforth bedroom to halls, and back in summer
A first-year move is one room's contents: bags of clothes, bedding, a desk lamp, a kettle, perhaps a bike or a keyboard. The van swallows that easily. Most halls hand out a time to arrive, and if you pass it on at booking the van turns up to match. Give a phone number for whoever will meet the van at each end, so nothing waits on the doorstep.
Summer brings everything back to Garforth when the tenancy or the hall contract ends. Long runs south on the M1 from Junction 46, or north on the A1(M), go as one trip with the same driver at both ends.
Sorting a student move out of Garforth
- Send a photo of the room's contents, both postcodes and the halls arrival slot
- Garforth Academy leavers heading to Leeds halls in September: the A63 into the city is slow at peak, so the slot sets the start
- For the June move home, send the date the tenancy ends and the Garforth address the room is coming back to
- Give the date the hall or tenancy ends, so the summer run home to Garforth is booked in time
- Bag the bedding and box the fragiles; bags are fine for the rest
- Keep a housemate's things out of your pile, since the van takes only your own

Student Removals in Garforth: your questions
Is there a university in Garforth?
No; degree courses mean Leeds, York or further, so student moves here are runs out to halls and back home.
Can my friend's things come to York in the same van?
No. The van is booked for one customer's move, so your friend books their own, and your price covers your room alone.
Can you take my things to my storage unit?
Yes, to or from a self-storage unit you rent. There is no storage offered by the business itself.
How far ahead should we book for September?
As early as you can, since September dates book up early across the country. Send the halls address and arrival slot as soon as you have them.
