One road, one queue: the A638 and Chain Bar
Nearly everything commercial in BD19 hangs off Bradford Road. Rawfolds Industrial Estate is on it, Spen Valley Industrial Park is just off it at Rawfolds Way, Prospect Mills sits on Prospect Road behind it, and the trade and warehouse units run north along it to Chain Bar. There is no bypass, so the A638 is both the route in and the route between drops, which makes a four-stop round here about as efficient as a delivery day gets.
The queue at Chain Bar is the thing to plan around. Junction 26 of the M62 is barely a mile north of the town and backs up hard at peak, so a delivery timed for half eight can lose twenty minutes before it gets anywhere near a goods-in door. We set off from Bradford accordingly. Free parking beside the indoor market makes the town-centre drops easier here than in Dewsbury or Huddersfield.
